Questa card l'ho fatta con due challenge in mente. Entrambi festeggiano un importante anniversario: Il Butterfly Challenge compie 10 anni e Uniko ne compie 12! Scusate le foto piene di ombre, ma le ho prese di notte.
Ho faticato molto per ottemperare contemporaneamente alle richieste di entrambi i challenges, che hanno in comune solamente il compleanno. Per il 192# Butterfly Challenge ho seguito la richiesta di usare i colori burnt orange, baby pink e butter milk (ma ci sono anche blue bell e bud green), gli auguri di compleanno e il tipo di card: Belt and Buckle. E ovviamente le farfalle!!
Il Card Linky Party di Uniko invece richiede di usare soltanto prodotti Uniko. Dato che non potevo usare abbellimenti (pizzi, gemme, Nuvo Drops, washi tape... ecc) né carta patterned ho sfidato me stessa! Niente riciclo oggi, niente bits and bobs, nemmeno una piccola gemma! Aiuto!!! 😲😨 LOL 😂 Ho usato lo stencil MOD Background Builder Circles e un mix di timbri: le farfalle (+ fustelle) English Country Garden Butterflies , due sentiments + i fiori da Pure Floral Cosmos, e sulla fibbia della chiusura ho aggiunto un piccolo bordo fiorito del set Garlands Galore (fuori produzione). Ovviamente ho usato i colori (alcuni Distress Inks, Versafine Claire Blue bell, alcohol Markers e matite) e semplice cartoncino bianco. Ho usato piccoli avanzi di carta bianca (snippets) per timbrare i fiori e le farfalle. Per il Belt and Buckle ho seguito il semplice tutorial di Mrs A. Non potendo usare carta patterned, ho deciso di coprire la giunzione della linguetta che serve a unire la fascetta della chiusura alla card usando carta bianca. Lo stencil mi è servito per dare colore e dettagli a tutto quel bianco. Le CAS non sono la mia tazza di tè! 😊. Ho accostato la carta per coprire la linguetta alla metà frontale che si chiude e ho usato lo stencil, Distress Inks e spugnette da dito per colorare allo stesso modo le due metà.
Poi ho incollato la striscia nella metà della card che resta visibile, in modo da farla combaciare con quella della parte apribile. Ho aggiunto un fiore colorato con i markers e ritagliato a mano e una piccola farfalla in basso colorata con markers e matite e tagliata con la fustella coordinata al timbro. All'interno della fascetta ho aggiunto una farfalla grande. . Con una striscetta di carta bianca avanzata e colorata con un marker ho fatto la fibbia, l'ho stampata con il festone a fiori, l'ho incollata agli estremi in modo da poter inserire la fascetta e ho aggiunto due farfalle piccole arancioni. Sia le farfalle che i fiori sono fatti con avanzi di carta bianca.
Anche sull'esterno della fascetta ho usato lo stencil, ma solo con due
colori. Ho arrotondato gli angoli della fascetta per la chiusura con un
punch, aggiunto il sentiment "Make a wish" e un'altra farfalla.
Il secondo sentiment bene-augurante nascosto all'interno è tagliato da un altro snippet bianco, colorato con un Distress Ink. Sotto la metà a sinistra del sentiment ho aggiunto un'altra striscetta di carta bianca per portarlo allo stesso spessore della metà destra.
Ho aggiunto altri due fiori e un'altra farfalla. L'interno dell'aletta apribile è stato completamente colorato con lo stesso stencil e i medesimi Distress Inks.

Such a beauty you created here, Alice! Love these cheerful colors and you can never go wrong with butterflies for a birthday card! Fun buckle card design too, not sure I've ever made one of those.

Semplicemente bellissima Alice. Ci hai messo così tanto lavoro e hai persino creato la forma della fibbia e della cintura che sembrava complicata. Tutti i fiori e le farfalle nei tenui colori primaverili e quel lavoro con lo stencil, quello stencil è sulla mia lista.

You do so well in complying with challenges! I was too intimidated to try the belt buckle design card, but I love how you met the challenge with a beautiful card. Great stencil work and beautiful butterflies and a lot of patience made for one pretty birthday card. I love the spring colors too because I am ready for some fragrant flowers to make an appearance soon. I hope you are having sunshine today and nice temperatures. Here we still have snow on the ground that's melting with the sun, but the temperatures are still quite brisk. Have a great week ahead and I'm sending you some big crafty hugs for a fantastic day!
