Tra i rami in primavera... bits & bobs!

La primavera è sempre stata la mia stagione preferita: nè troppo calda, nè troppo fredda, piena di colori, di fiori, di uccellini e farfalle. :D
Al Butterfly Challenge di Mrs. A. il tema questa volta è "Turchese e/o Texture + Farfalle". Come sempre, ho cercato letteralmente di "togliermi dalle scatole" (per le amiche non italiane: in Italia diciamo così...) un po' di pezzetti di carta riciclati o avanzati da altri lavori. :D  Insomma, questo è un'altro dei miei progetti pieni di "bits and bobs"... :D
Sono partita da un ritaglio di una vecchia cartellina di Manila color azzurro aviazione.
L'ho embossata con l'EF Sizzix Pinwheel, l'ho colorata con il Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon e ho consumato i bordi con il paper distresser.
Mi pare che il colore sia quello giusto ("teal".... il traduttore on line inglese -italiano lo traduce come "turchese", anche se io credevo che turchese si dicesse "turquoise"...) Chissà... o_O
A destra ho aggiunto un vecchio segnalibro, mi ha ispirato ed era proprio delle tinte giuste... :D e ho distressato i bordi anche a questo.
Sul retro ho messo del foam biadesivo per dare dimensione e l'ho appoggiato sulla base, che è l'unico pezzo non avanzato (carta "More or Less" di Dovecraft).
La girandola di juta fa parte di un regalo che mi ha fatto Pia (grazie!!) e l'ho colorata di arancione con i Graph'it markers.
Tutte le forme usate in questa card erano già fustellate: le ho prese dalle mie bustine trasparenti dove ripongo le forme che taglio, a tempo perso, dai piccoli scarti di carta e cartoncino, usando la mia Big Shot o dei punches. Per quanto riguarda le fustelle che ho usato, elenco qui i brand e i nomi:
- uccellini: Sizzix Thinlits - So Happy Toghether
- farfalla grande: Crafty Individuals - Lacely Butterfly
- farfalle piccole: punch
- riccioli: Sizzix Sizzlits- Poinsettia Swirls by Brenda Walton
- fiore grande con texture a destra: Sizzix Bigz Tattered Floral (Tim Holtz) +Thinlits Fancy Label & Flower
- fiore grande azzurro a sinistra: Heartfelt -Arianna Blooms
- fiori piccoli bianchi Britannia Dies -set of 3 Chrysanthemum;
- fiori piccoli azzurri: punch Tonic
- rametto bianco a destra: Sizzix Thinlits -Flowers heart petals with stems
- foglie bianche in basso: Sizzix Thinlits by Susan Cockburn - Yarrow
- foglie verdi a sinistra: punch

Anche i fiori li avevo già pronti: quando ho un po' di tempo li taglio, li coloro, li modello con il bulino, li compongo a strati e li metto in una scatola. Il centro di solito invece lo aggiungo al momento dell'utilizzo.
Il fiore fatto con la fustella di Tim Holtz lo avevo embossato e colorato con i Distress ink direttamente nell'EF. Al centro c'è uno strass che mi piace moltissimo, lo trovo perfetto per i fiori grandi!
Per gli occhi degli uccellini e il centro degli altri fiori ho messo strass più piccoli e mezze perle.
Il finto fiocco in basso a sinistra è fatto con la fustella Sizzix Bigz -Bow_Create_a_flower, dello spago arancione e una perla verde di legno. L'uccellino arancione è stato embossato e colorato con i Distress ink.
La foglia di polietilene (vedi post) l'ho tagliata con la fustella Sizzix Framelits -Leaves Birch. Tra i vari bits and bobs c'è stato il posto anche per lei.  :D
I fiori bianchi li adoro... questo piccolo trio di fustelline è favoloso, trovo che i fiori siano molto realistici (e anche veloci da fare!)
Il corpo della bellissima farfalla l'ho colorato con i pennarelli glitterati comprati al LIDL per pochi spiccioli; funzionano benissimo! Ho fatto 2 strati: uno di verde e uno di blu, per ottenere il turchese che non ho.
...Oggi c'era un bel sole, così finalmente ho potuto fare le foto all'esterno!  :D

Hello Alice and Spring is my favourite season too. Your card is really beautiful. I love the pretty paper, the flowers the butterfly and most of all those dear little birds. It's a fun and exciting card Alice and I love all the beautiful colours. Barbxx

Definitely lots & lots of texture, beautiful texture and patterns & colors! Definitely has some lovely teal in the card. I think it's perfect for Mrs. A's current challenge. I love the orange tones with the blue shades and those little birds just stole my heart. Love all the layers & embellies you've tucked around to make this one so special. Happy wkend. TFS & Hugs
