Esperimenti di riciclo: paperclips

Tempo addietro ho visto i bellissimi sets di paperclips realizzati da Kitty e ho voluto provare. Purtroppo ho fatto parecchi errori (ho usato carta  troppo leggera, ho incollato la parte sbagliata della clip...) e quindi i miei paperclips non sono molto professionali, ma mi sono divertita tantissimo e ho eliminato un po' di snippets!! :D
Ho messo sul tavolo un po' di avanzi di carta e alcune grandi clips colorate, poi ho iniziato ad assemblare i pezzettini.

I miei sono davvero molto, molto imperfetti :( ma ve ne mostro lo stesso qualcuno, perchè mi pare davvero  un ottimo modo per svuotare la scatola degli avanzi, anche usando quelli molto piccoli! :D  Inoltre è un lavoro veloce da fare e quindi  ne farò ancora, ma sicuramente non ripeterò gli stessi errori!
Sbagliando si impara, non è vero? ;D
Seguendo l'idea di Kitty :), ho raggruppato i miei paperclips creando alcuni piccoli kit che possono eventualmente essere regalati: ho tagliato un pezzo di carta patterned e con il cutter ho creato gli slots, poi ci ho infilato le clips. Ho scritto "Handmade Altered Paperclips" al computer, l'ho stampato e l'ho incollato sulla carta del kit.
Tutto può servire per decorare: pezzettini di washi tape, stickers, forme tagliate con il punch o piccole fustelle, avanzi di bordi, pezzi di cartoline commerciali... Usando gli avanzi, ogni paperclip è unico, diverso dagli altri.
I cani qui sotto sono timbrati rispettivamente con timbri brand Unity Stamps e Jane's Doodles e poi ritagliati a mano. In particolare, il Bobtail brand Jane's Doodles era stato stampato su un pezzetto di carta avanzato su cui in precedenza avevo timbrato con un timbro Crafty Individuals...

Per il paper clip qui sotto invece ho usato un timbro digitale brand Paper Shelter e un sentiment trovato in una rivista.
Ho regalato questo paperclip, insieme ad altri, alla mia nipotina Aurora :D

WOW, Alice! You did an AWESOME job making the altered paper clips! Thank you for mentioning my blog - you are so sweet! I am happy that I could inspire you! You made so many clips, and they are very impressive! I so enjoyed looking at them! One of my favourites is the bird who is looking at the piano! It makes me smile! I also love the one that says Relax, and the one that says Enjoy Your Day. The cats and dogs are very cute, and I like how you added sentiments to many of them! This is such a great way to use up your scraps! They do make a cute gift - I gave away all that I made last time, so it's time for me to make more! Beautiful job, my friend!

These are fabulous Alice. Love them. What fun projects to make. I made some a while back using small mdf pieces for a junk journal but they were a bit limiting. I think with card you can have more fun and try lots of different styles and designs. I bet they would lovely in fabric as well. Now you have got me thinking :) Inspiring as always.

I swear sometimes I'm living under a rock! I've never heard of making paper clips but what a fabulous way to use snippets once again!
