C'è sempre una prima volta... :)

I'm all for it, one of the lovely things about challenges is the different ideas and techniques they invite us to try. You have succeeded here beautifully. Thank you for your comment on my CFD post and good luck in the draw. x

I’ve loved sketches from day one, the more you play with them the more confident you get in how to create more freely using it. When lacking inspiration a sketch will most often get my creative thinking back into the game. I think this is a lovely first try on a sketch, the style is different from your usual style, but that’s also one of the helpful things about sketches, how to make something different.

I am so glad you used a sketch to make a card, and it turned out great! Over in Italy I guess they package your eating utensils in those bags and way to recycle them too! I really like the distress inking over the embossing - it brought this card to life! Congratulations on taking that first step of making a card based on a sketch, and thanks for playing along with the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge. Hopefully you will try using a sketch again one day soon :)

What a fantastic interpretation of the sketch! Lovely colour combination. The embossing looks wonderful highlighted by the ink. The strip in the middle along with the embossing adds great texture to your card and I love the tiny hearts with the sentiment. Fingers and toes (painfully :D) crossed for you in the sketch and all the other challenges. Debra x

Oh Alice, this is a vision! how rustic and beautiful - I love that you made something out of something :) I love the scalloped edging and the monotone look overall. This came out just super - I hope you try this 'something new' again!

You did an awesome job with the sketch, my friend! Sometimes I like to use sketches and other times I do not. Sometimes it helps get my crafty mojo going if I'm not sure where to start. This looks like a good sketch, although I don't make many square cards any more, so I would find it challenging. I like how you used the distress ink to show your embossing! Great choice of colours and design for a masculine card, nice job!
