Seconda card con la mia nuova fustella

Questa è la prima delle altre due card fatte con la fustella Die'sire che ho vinto al Blog-Hop di Crafter Companion's, sul blog di Giovana.
La fustella Ornate Lattice è fatta in modo che la parte interna può essere tagliata con una semplice fustella a cerchio. In questo modo le possibilità aumentano, perchè si possono usare separatamente il cerchio interno e la griglia esterna.
Per tagliare via il cerchio ho usato la più grande fustella circolare del set di Thinlists-Circle di Sizzix.
Per questa card ho usato soltanto il cerchio interno, mentre per quella successiva (vedi post seguente) ho usato solo il graticcio, che è rimasto forato al centro. Per il momento non ho aggiunto sentiment, lo farò quando deciderò la "destinazione" della card. :)
Avevo tagliato con la fustella Ornate Lattice un foglio A4 rosa. Ho tagliato via il cerchio al centro e ho messo da parte il graticcio per un'altra card.
Dopo aver colorato il cerchio con il pigmento viola Rose & Wine di LuminArte, mischiato con il Distress Victorian Velvet e acqua, l'ho ricoperto di glitter. Volevo che sembrasse una grossa luna viola traforata.  :D
Poi ho embossato un cartoncino bianco con una cartella da embossing Cuttlebug e ho tamponato con i Distress Ink sfumando due colori.
Ho incollato il cerchio sul cartoncino embossato.
Ho infine montato tutto su un cartoncino viola glitterato. Mi sono ricordata di un trucco che ho appreso da Pia, cioè quello di togliere una parte del background, non visibile, per risparmiare carta e alleggerire la card.
Così facendo, mi è avanzato un pezzo di cartoncino glitterato che potrò usare in seguito per altri lavori. (Grazie dell'idea, Pia! :D)
Sul retro della card, per coprire il vuoto rimasto, ho incollato un cartoncino bianco di recupero.
Ho tagliato una grande farfalla con una fustella Sizzix di Ellen Huston e l'ho embossata colorando direttamente la cartella da embossing (Creative Expressions) con alcuni Distress Ink (Peackok Feather, Seed Preserved, Victorian Velvet).
Poi ho passato la polvere viola (LuminArte) mischiata con un po' d'acqua sulla sua superficie e infine l'ho glitterata, come ho fatto per la "luna".
Ho incollato anche la farfalla e ho messo sulla "luna" un piccolo charm a farfallina che mi ha regalato Kitty (Grazie Kitty!!)
Questa card luccica tantissimo! :D

That's exactly what I was thinking, the circle gives the illusion of a moon. Or sun, whatever suits. Lovely colors. An allround design. You can add a sentiment later if you want or even leave it like this, it's elegant without anything more.

Oh my, just look at all of the sparkle on this card!! The colors are outstanding and so so beautiful, and the butterfly is just dreamy! I love the musical themed background too, and this is so pretty I just feel like singing! Mission accomplished :)

So very pretty, Alice! I love the shimmer and sparkle! These colours look beautiful together! You have made your new die very versatile with different parts to be used. The embossed butterfly with the Luminarte is stunning! I like your idea (Pia's idea) to cut the unseen paper to reuse on another project - no waste! I like seeing the little butterfly charm too hehe! A beautiful card!
