Mini album invernale riciclando una scatola di Panforte

Mi capita spesso di essere ispirata dalle forme delle scatole e quando ho avuto sotto il naso la confezione del Panforte con la sua forma ottagonale mi ha preso la voglia di farci un minialbum da regalare ad un'amica che partiva per la montagna.
(...è il mio primo mini album!) Non è stato facile, non tanto per la forma, quanto per il fatto che ho davvero poca scelta di carta 12 x 12 acid free...
Non avendo carta invernale o natalizia, ho dovuto accontentarmi della collezione Springtime Posy di Grace Taylor, cercando di adattarla... Il risultato è un album dolce, con parecchie imperfezioni e forse un po' infantile... però mi sono divertita e alla mia amica è piaciuto, quindi va bene così...  ;-)
Questa qui sopra è la copertina. L'album si chiude con una calamita.
Per rifinire i bordi ho usato un washi tape plastificato preso al LIDL e sulla costa ho attaccato una fustellata turchese, embossata e carteggiata.
Il pizzo di carta color ruggine con i riccioli è tagliato con una fustella per bordi della Sizzix. Per la calza ho usato una fustella Sizzix e i miei soliti coperchi delle teglie di alluminio embossati e colorati con gli alcohol ink: ho messo questi abbellimenti casalinghi in quasi tutte le pagine, mi piacciono tantissimo!
Dimenticavo, la scatola che mi ha ispirato è questa
Ho tagliato tutti i bordi meno tre (uno centrale per la costa e gli altri due agli estremi per la chiusura) ed ho applicato una striscia di cartoncino pesante piegato a fisarmonica per incollare le pagine dell'album.
Le pagine hanno un'aletta (un risvolto) che si apre: ogni aletta è la metà esatta dell'ottagono e i due fogli che la compongono formano una tasca, all'interno della quale ho inserito una tag bianca parzialmente embossata, per mettere una foto o scrivere qualcosa (e ho dimenticato di fotografale).
Ho usato esclusivamente fustelle della Sizzix, a parte la piccola renna che è della CottageCutz e qualche punch della Stamperia (fiocchi di neve e angioletto).
In ogni pagina per attaccare la foto (10 x 15) c'è una grande tag estraibile: qualche pagina ha una vera e propria taschina, in altre sono le decorazioni parzialmente incollate a fare da supporto alle tag per le foto.
Le immagini del mio "reportage" sono un po' buie, mi dispiace.

La timbrata con i coniglietti è di LOTV ed è colorata a matita.
Questa sotto invece è la parte a destra della stessa pagina. Il simpatico pinguino che pattina è un'immagine digitale di Bogaboo vinta al candy di Kitty e che ho  colorato con le matite acquarellabili. Ho aggiunto un'embossatura con la polvere sparkle per simulare il ghiaccio (in foto non si vede brillare..).

L'aletta ingrandita...
Aprendo l'aletta, l'altra facciata è così. Il pizzo di carta verticale a sinistra è formato da due fustellate (una color rosa distressato di viola e il negativo rimasto da una bianca). I fiocchi di neve sparsi sullo sfondo sono timbrati ed embossati con la polvere sparkle.

Il fiocco di neve centrale sulla calza è solo embossato
I dettagli: i fiocchi di neve sullo sfondo bianco (la taschina con la tag portafoto a pallini) sono il negativo della punchata che ho usato per fare quelli su sfondo verde-azzurro

Of course your friend loved this! I think this projects shows that you've put not only time and effort, but also a lot of heart and love, into the making of this album. It's like a maze or labyrinth, with hidden pockets, flaps and what not! A very special and interesting creation, so beautiful. And those spring papers you've turned into ones with lots of Christmas feel. Well done!!

innanzitutto ti auguro buon anno! È da un po' che non passo a trovarti, ma sono stata veramente molto impegnata ed è stato faticoso aggiornare il blog, perciò ho parecchi post di blog amici ancora da vedere. A poco a poco recupererò.
Mi piace moltissimo quest'album e, ti dirò, anche a me tempo fa era venuta l'idea di fare un album con una forma insolita e avevo conservato una confezione di alimenti che mi piace, ma non è di un dolce. Poi vedrai.
Mi piacciono le alette che ricoprono mezzo esagono e, tra i dettagli, soprattutto quelle belle foglie grandi che hai fustellato sia nell'alluminio che nel cartone (almeno così sembra dalle foto).
Ci rivediamo presto!
