What a fabulous mixed media piece. Thank you so much for sharing your process and different stages of production. I am not very good at mixed media but I do have ambitions - whether they will be realised is another matter! what a wonderful example of making something new out of something old. Thanks for the inspiration xx
RispondiEliminaThis mixed media project makes my heart happy! It takes me back to the days when I was young and dancing was everything to me. It almost reminds me of the movie Grease too! Your coloring of that image is amazing and I love all the stencil work you did in creating the background, especially those corrugated corners! You always amaze me with your skills for creating and this is going to delight the young girl who receives it I'm sure! Sending big hugs and blessings to you and yours on your side of the world my sweet friend! Enjoy your weekend!
RispondiEliminaWow! How you recycled that cardboard into this wall hanging mixed media masterpiece is Ah-mazing! All the details added to the tremendous texture. The image is adorable and beautifully coloured.
RispondiEliminaThis card is so sweet! I love your stars!

Hello, my dear friend! I love your mixed media wall hanging for a young girl - she will love it too! It looks like so much fun and reminds me of my younger days - lots of happy memories! Your colouring is beautiful, Alice! I enjoyed reading about your techniques and looking at the step-by-step photos! Such gorgeous stencilling and texture, and I like the layers of the old book pages for added interest! Great addition of the corrugated cardboard with more stencilling and paints, and the cardboard adds strength to the piece, so important. I adore your creativity and, of course, your clever recycling! I believe the young girl who receives this will enjoy looking at this wall art for many years and it will be treasured! Lovely work as always, my friend! I hope things are going okay with you! Some day I will email you but for now I am not on the computer much, trying to enjoy life. I can imagine your garden is looking amazing and everything must be growing! We were inspired by your plants so we planted some lettuce, tomatoes, green pepper, and several herbs. This is our first try so we are starting slowly. We planted them in pots to try it. So far, so good! Sending lots of love, hugs, and happy thoughts to you! Always thinking about you and praying for your well-being!
